(Southampton, NY… February 2018) With warmer weather on its way, Hamptons Landscape Lighting (HLL – hamptonslandscapelighting.com) is preparing for another season of enhancing landscape design. Sharing that seemingly random objects can become a unique way to illuminate distinctive landscapes, HLL offers tailored lighting solutions for residential and commercial properties that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offer added convenience and increased security. A newer concept HLL is looking forward to is umbrella lighting.

“By illuminating umbrellas and using their colors’ natural reflectance, we are able to provide functional lighting in an otherwise unobtainable location,” says HLL project manager, Scott Armusewicz. “The end product combined with the illumination from the pool lighting creates an aesthetically pleasing and unique gathering space for our clients and their guests. This is one of many creative ‘outside the box’ ideas we at Hamptons Landscape Lighting pride ourselves upon.”

By uplighting the umbrellas, HLL simultaneously creates a downlighting effect to the surrounding areas through reflection. A pool’s reflection can then enhance the illumination further. Other trending lighting solutions include specialty pool and surrounding area lighting to create a personal oasis. Using colored LEDs, HLL creates a unique atmosphere ranging from sleek and modern to whimsical and majestic. Specialty products include galaxy fiber optic pool lighting, galaxy rocks, illuminated waterfalls, Lightbender laminars, color changing bubblers, and lighted spills and fire bowls. 

There is also an added security benefit with landscape lighting. Proper illumination enhances walking and driving conditions on a property while also deterring trespassers. This lighting can be integrated with existing security systems.

The showroom, which is part of the new Hamptons Technology Experts experience center, is located at 241 County Road 39A, Unit 4, Southampton, New York 11968. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday by appointment from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Home Technology Experts’ New Experience Center Mimics Luxury Smart Home Technology

(Southampton, NY... February 2018) Home Technology Experts (HTE – htney.com) is offering clients a new way to discover their services with a new showroom in Southampton. The innovative experience center mimics home installations of the company’s elite systems, incorporating the functionality of luxury technology into high-end décor. Features in the crisp, modern space include products by Alexa, Control4, Lutron, Paradigm Persona, Samsung, Savant, Séura, Sonos, Sony, and more. With a goal of giving prospective clients and partners a resource to become more knowledgeable about home technology, the showroom was designed to emulate a home environment.

“We always felt that in order for our clients to truly understand all the available home technology options, they need to be able to experience it for themselves in a home-like environment,” says HTE president Alex Karoussos. “Our showroom emulates a typical home, complete with a full kitchen by Ciuffo Cabinetry, a dining room, living room, lounge and study. Each area features one or more different solutions that we have found to work well for our clients over the years.”

In an effort to connect with home and design industry partners, HTE invites people to utilize the showroom, which is open to the public, as a workspace and a place to connect with clients. There is a full kitchen with refreshments, conference table, sitting area with sofas and tables, multiple televisions, and connection options for presentations. The space also features the various types of systems they offer.

“In our lounge, we feature a Sonos surround system and a much higher end ‘true’ surround sound system,” Mr. Karoussos explains. “We did this so that our clients can get a better understanding of why it may or may not make sense to spend the extra money on a higher end system. It’s one of those things that you really need to hear for yourself to decide. We also feature very high end invisible speakers that can be spackled and painted over so that they completely disappear into the room. Again, this concept is hard for most people to understand without hearing it for themselves.”
