Lighting, considered.
We are a luxury outdoor lighting design firm based in Southampton, working on the East End and beyond. A small team, a clear point of view, and a quiet conviction that the property should feel finished after dark.
We don't sell fixtures. We compose nighttime properties.
Outdoor lighting, done well, is a quiet act of design. It reveals what's already there — the gardens, the architecture, the path to the front door — without performing for itself. That's the work.
Slowly. Quietly.
In service of the property.
Our process begins on the property, after dark, listening to what the place is asking for. We read the architecture and the landscape together — proportions, sightlines, the way the eye moves from drive to door to garden — before any fixture decisions are made.
The work that follows is part design, part craft, part long-term care. A lighting plan is not a list of fixtures. It is a coordinated set of choices about restraint — where to light, where to leave dark, and how the property is meant to feel as the evening unfolds.
Coastal Source fixtures, properly sized transformers, low-voltage installation by our own crew, and final aiming returned to after sundown. The unglamorous work that decides whether the result is beautiful in three months, three years, or thirty.
The work has a maker.
We don't think of fixtures first. We think of the property at the moment when guests arrive, when the family steps onto the patio, when the dog comes back from the dock. The lighting follows from there.
Vanessa leads design across every Hamptons Landscape Lighting project — from focused upgrades to estate-scale plans. Her approach is editorial and design-literate: a bias toward restraint, a careful eye for sightlines, and a working relationship with the architects and landscape designers shaping the East End's most considered properties.
Four commitments.
The principles that govern every project we take on — small or estate-scale, new construction or system refresh.
-
i
Design first.
Every project begins with reading the property — the architecture, the landscape, the way it's actually used at night. Fixtures are a means, not the starting point.
-
ii
Coastal-grade always.
Coastal Source fixtures, marine-rated wiring, properly sized transformers. Built for salt air, freeze–thaw, and the long horizons of an East End property.
-
iii
Aimed after dark.
The lighting is finished only when we return to the property after sunset, fixture by fixture, to tune what we installed. The unglamorous work that separates a system from a result.
-
iv
Cared for long-term.
Brilliance Care™ is built into every system we install — pre-season inspections, fixture cleaning, aiming as the landscape grows, and priority service when something needs attention.
A short note is enough.
