Landscape Lighting Design for the Hamptons.
We design, install, restore and care for outdoor lighting systems that make architecture, gardens and arrival sequences feel considered after dark.
The art of after dark.
Lighting is not an accessory. It is part of the property.
Hamptons Landscape Lighting is a Southampton-based landscape lighting design and installation company serving residential properties throughout the Hamptons and East End.
Our work begins with the experience of the property: how someone arrives, where the eye should travel, what deserves to be revealed and what should remain in shadow. From there, we coordinate fixtures, wiring, controls, installation, nighttime aiming and long-term care around a single design intent.
As part of Home Technology Experts, we can also connect exterior lighting with compatible whole-home control, outdoor audio and estate technology when the project calls for it.
Restraint creates depth.
Good exterior lighting does not attempt to make night look like day. It creates enough light for movement, comfort and atmosphere while preserving contrast.
We use layers rather than excess: a softly marked path, a specimen tree held against darkness, reflected light across water, a façade revealed without flattening its material or proportion.
Every fixture needs a reason to exist. Every beam needs a destination. The result should feel natural even when the planning behind it is highly technical.
Explore Our Design Approach →Coastal lighting must survive the landscape without fighting it.
Salt air, irrigation, storms, freeze-thaw cycles, shifting plant material and seasonal use all influence how an exterior system should be specified and installed. We select materials, connections and placement strategies with those conditions in mind.
Vanessa Kordich.
Vanessa leads the visual composition of our landscape lighting work, shaping how architecture, gardens, water and circulation are experienced after sunset.
Her process is collaborative and site-specific. She works from the property itself—its views, mature plantings, architectural materials and patterns of use—then coordinates the lighting plan with homeowners, architects, landscape designers, builders and our installation team.
The design continues after installation. Night aiming is where beam angles, intensity and visual balance are refined in the conditions the system was created for.
“It is about lighting views—the way scenes unfold and how people feel within them. Every highlight should have a clear purpose.”
Exterior lighting that can belong to the rest of the home.
Our relationship with Home Technology Experts gives clients a direct path between exterior lighting, compatible smart-home control and the technology used throughout the property.
Lighting Control
Exterior zones can be coordinated with compatible schedules, scenes, keypads and app-based control rather than operating as a disconnected system.
Outdoor Experience
Lighting can be planned alongside outdoor audio, televisions, Wi-Fi and entertainment areas so the patio, pool and garden work as one environment.
Long-Term Support
Design, installation, controls and ongoing care can remain within a coordinated service relationship rather than being divided among unrelated vendors.
The principles behind every project.
Restraint
We preserve darkness, reduce glare and avoid unnecessary fixtures. The objective is visual hierarchy—not maximum brightness.
Coordination
We plan around architecture, planting, hardscape, controls and construction conditions so the finished system feels intentional rather than added later.
Stewardship
Landscapes grow and properties change. Re-aiming, cleaning, pruning coordination and system maintenance help protect the original design intent.

What makes Hamptons Landscape Lighting different from a landscaper or electrician?
We approach exterior lighting as a design discipline. Our work combines visual composition, fixture selection, wiring and controls, nighttime aiming, documentation and long-term care rather than treating lighting as a simple fixture installation.
Can exterior lighting integrate with Lutron, Savant or Control4?
Yes. Through our relationship with Home Technology Experts, exterior lighting can be coordinated with compatible whole-home control systems, schedules, keypads and scenes.
Do you maintain lighting systems installed by other companies?
We can evaluate many existing landscape lighting systems and recommend repair, restoration, re-aiming, control upgrades or phased replacement when appropriate.
Why does coastal landscape lighting require special planning?
Salt air, moisture, irrigation, storms, freeze-thaw cycles and shifting landscapes place unusual demands on fixtures, connections, wiring and placement. Coastal projects benefit from materials and installation methods selected for those conditions.
