01 — Design
Lighting Design.
Before a single fixture is placed, we study the property — its trees, its architecture, its rhythms of use — and develop a lighting composition that reveals the estate's character after dark. This is not decorative work. It is editorial.
Our design services extend to clients beyond the East End. We have designed systems across the country, and manage remote projects through detailed documentation and trusted installation partners. We have also expanded into interior lighting design through our sister studio, Hamptons Lighting Design.

Expert Installation.
Our installation team arrives with one standard: exacting. Every wire, every fixture, every transformer is placed to specification. We work cleanly and efficiently, respecting the property as we transform it.
We do not subcontract installation. The team that designs your system is the same team that builds it — which means the composition in the drawings is the composition that appears in the landscape.

Brilliance Care™ Maintenance.
A lighting system is a living thing. Plants grow, ground shifts, lenses cloud. Our Brilliance Care™ program keeps your system performing as designed — season after season — through pre-scheduled visits by our own expert technicians.
Plans range from annual to monthly. Two technicians per visit. One hour of comprehensive service, as standard. Nothing for you to think about, and nothing left to chance.

Renovations & Upgrades.
Not every project begins at zero. We are frequently asked to assess and transform existing outdoor lighting — evaluating what remains serviceable, what should be replaced, and what the system should become.
We are often able to utilize the installed wiring infrastructure, making renovations considerably more cost-effective and efficient than a full replacement. The result performs like new — without the cost of starting over.

Lighting Control Systems.
As a division of Home Technology Experts, HLL integrates outdoor lighting natively with Savant, Lutron, and Control4 — a capability no standalone landscape lighting company in the Hamptons can match.
A single scene can compose the full estate: terrace lighting warm, pool at half, driveway on arrival mode — recalled from a keypad, a phone, or voice. Our programmers at HTE handle the integration. Our designers at HLL compose the light.

Outdoor Audio & Video Systems.
Infrastructure runs once. When outdoor lighting is being installed, we coordinate the simultaneous placement of low-voltage audio and video wiring — a single site mobilization that eliminates the cost and disruption of a second project.
Our designers at Home Technology Experts select and specify the system. Our team in the landscape handles placement and concealment. The result is a seamless outdoor environment where light and sound arrive together, as they should.
